Website’s Meta Tags Undervalued. - Your Marketing Message Goes Here!

You know that meta tags do not play a big role in the SEO effort to rank a website higher, but don’t discount them just yet.
When you create a PPC campaign do you spend time thinking about your ad? You do? So why don’t you spend time creating a good marketing message in your meta tags? I mean this is what people see when they look at your natural search result on Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.
Marketers assume that if you’re naturally ranked in let’s say, place #2 that every searcher will click on your ad. False! Whet they will do first is read the title and a little bit of a “meta tag” you’ve spent so little time on.
How about writing your “Unique Selling Proposition” within your meta tags (don’t forget to place a few keywords as well).

“You know that title tags do not play a big role in the SEO effort to rank a website higher”
hmmm… Not sure why anybody should know that because the title tag is probably THE single most important piece of on-page real estate when it comes to SEO. Off page factors, such as links, ultimately play a bigger role, but the title tag is supremely important… and not just for it’s clickability in the search results.

Stoney … my mistake. I confused Title Tags with META TAGS. This is bad. Shame on me!
I am changing it now.
