What I have decided to do is a weekly website critique on the BizMord blog. The websites I’ll review will be the ones I find or you can just e-mail me a site you want to be reviewed.

Things I’ll be focusing on is Usability, Marketing message, Design, Simplicity, Copy, etc.

I welcome additional comments that will help the website owner. Feel free to argue with me when you think that my idea is wrong or agree and add your own observational thoughts. I am sure visitors of the BizMord blog as well as website owners will appreciate your suggestions.

So … briefly … what do I look for in a website?

I want it to be…

1. Unique (memorable to the visitor)
2. Show a clear action point (what do you want your visitor to do?)
3. Have website copy that sells (less of SAT words and more personalized copy that connects)
4. Appealing to the eye of the target market
5. Clear and simple to understand what it’s all about. (7 seconds into the visit should be enough)

And much more.
