ASK.com …. If Barry Diller Only Knew This … (spam on ASK.com)

After attending the Search Marketing seminar in NYC and listening to how “great” ASK.com is from the keynote speaker Barry Diller … we’ve decided to jump on board and try Ask.com ……. we actually got a $100 bonus gift from ASK … so here we go.

After launching the program I’ve gotten a personal # for the Tech support (just in case you know). And we were off to a “good” start.

The first day we started getting traffic from a Spammy partner site of theirs with a bounce rate of 98.70% (nice right? could it be spam? Well I don’t know Bonny, what do you think?) After calling the tech support 2 times and leaving messages I got a call back the next day. Pleasant guy on the phone promised to block that spammy network (and he did … no more traffic from there) BUT where is the $115 refund we were promised? It’s been a week.

Oh, yea … I called them a few times and left messages. No response. Now tell me is this a good way to start a “brand”?

In your company do you listen to your sales calls? Do you listen to your tech calls? Do you know what’s going on? …………… Or do you just work your ass off promoting the company while your team runs it into the ground?
